I also used wooden studs for my walls. I had to go to an extreme route to soundproof the walls between the CR and the bedroom and dining room. I had to use different studs for the wall against the bathroom and the wall against the dining room. The space in between was then filled with fiberglass insulation.

Also, the use of gypsum board walling material will provide a measure of soundproofing. Plywood will transmit sound like a guitar.
