Hi Guys,

I need info re materials for kitchen counter tops. What are the alternative materials to granite or marble. I believe meron nang mga synthetic materials pero di ko alam kung saan nabibibili, made to order ba ito based sa sukat ng counter top mo?

The only countertop material I have experienced using is a formica factory laminated on high quality marine plywood. These were available in sizes of 2 feet by 8 feet, which I bought from San Jose Builders.

Hi,

The ranges of counter top available are;

Lowest priced - Laminated Formica, Honeycombed Core Top
Mid Priced - Reconstituted Stone, Acrylic Top, Man made Marble
Top Range - Natural Stone.

Josol Home Decor Improvement Center in Legaspi St., Maybunga, Pasig would be able to help you out.

Hope this helps.

Are you referring to corian counter tops? There is a local variety available in the various home depots.

Hi!

Check out granite tiles instead granite slabs. Much cheaper and looks the same. just need a good tile setter to do the job.

i had the same dilemma when choosing tops on a price-benefit basis.

i ended up with the granite slab. costs around 5,000 per slab + 2,500 for the installer. if you know somebody who can install, the labor can further be reduced. it took them only 4 days to install 3 slabs complete with the edges and backsplashes
