As the title suggests.......I'm looking for a place to get reasonably priced button cells or watch batteries....I need to replace at least a dozen watches with dead batteries. Service centers and watch repair stores simply charge too much. Thanks

Bro I've seen some in the DIY hardware store. You might also try a department store.

if you happen to pass by Raon St. in Quiapo, just go straight until you reach Avenida.

cross the street and straight ahead a few meters from the corner (left-side) is a watch repair and parts shop named Nepomuceno. they sell watch parts, batteries and tools for repairing watches.

there is another shop also along Avenida going to National Bookstore, i can't remember the name but it's located at the corner of one of the side streets in Avenida.

coming from Raon, cross Avenida and turn right walking towards National Bookstore. in front of it is a small pawnshop. if memory serves me, you should see it before reaching National Bookstore.

be aware that there are "fake" or sub-standard batteries being sold. they last only for a few months. it might be good to ask from those shops how to tell original batteries from fake ones. but if you buy from them, i'm pretty sure you'll be getting original batteries.

i hope this helps.

I wouldn't expect too much from those. You get what you pay for.

I always go to Republic Emporium along Ongpin St.

had tried the japan home batteries. the first pack i got yielded usuable batteries and they powered several watches for a few months. the next time i bought a pack, none of the batteries were usuable. the hardware dept. at the 3rd floor of the landmark north ave. carries Eveready watch batteries. so does that small hardware store infront of Goldilocks inside the National Bookstore building along Quezon ave.
