don't like tiles in the bathroom

i really don't like tiles in the bathroom. can you suggest other materials that can be used in the bathroom. i was thinking of wood and/or concrete.

*if wood, what wood is best for the bathroom?
*if concrete, is it okay to use plain concrete in the bathroom for the sink, floor, shower? are their special applications that have to be done? i was thinking that this would be cheaper than installing/using tiles in the bathroom.

Yeah what a unique bathroom would that be, not using tiles. in fact I could use that idea myself. Molave is a hardwood that can resist moisture.
