Hi,

Thought I started this thread already. Tried the search function but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anyway, I'm fixing up my shop and setting up another (little) work area in another part of the house.

I am looking for Pegboard, which is a sort of dense and stronger type of Lawanit board, with holes
spaced all over, and usually painted white, although brown is also possible.

You see this in all the DIY stores (TrueValue, Ace, Handyman) except they use it to hang their
display items. They do not sell pegboards.

Anybody know where we can get this ??

I found a hardware in Makati (delaRosa St., near Makati Med) that sells a 4 X 8 sheet (white) for a whopping 2,400 Pesos !!!

If this hardware (the only one I've found that has it) is selling it, then he must have a local supplier.

Cheers :)

Hmm, looks like this is difficult to find.

If no pegboard is available, then does anyone know where I can get marine lawanit 1/4 thick ?

I can just drill the holes myself.

Also, does anyone know what sinter board is ??

Cheers 8)

would those "perforated" sheet metal work boards found in mall HWs be applicable to your project? they usually come with attachments too, like spanner racks, trays, etc. or another alternative are thos perforated sheet metal found in the HW, don't really know what they're called or what they're for but I think officially they're supposed to be for concrete works etc. their holes come in different sizes too. the smallest I got was 1/8. Yeah perforated metal sheeting will do fine. The hardware goes into holes at least 3/16 to 1/4".

Concrete works ?? You mean used as some kind of a form ?? Not sure I know what these are.

From a regular HW (hardware)? What would you call them ? Which hardware ?

Thanks for the info B2. :)

no prob for the 1/4, I think it's readily available, seeing that the local hardware (HW) in my place alwas has stock for 1/4.
i'm not sure where these're used too exactly, I'll ask the HW when I get home. :-P A shop-owner friend of mine used it for his signage, seen it used in custom bumpers too. I'm using it in my custom amp rack as a sort of a grill... Oh, BTW: I dunno if they come in various sizes (read: thickness) as well and whether every hardware sells them in "tingi".
As to which HW, I guess you'll have to go to the ones that have construction materials as their primary commodity. Specially the ones that have GI sheets and screens too. I can't give you a specific one in MM because I sourced it locally in San Fernando, L .U.

A news on a local seller for perforated lawanit? Been thinking about tidying up my shop.

Also, what kind of fitting/hook is used to hang tools on those pegboards?
