Although elastomerics can do simple sealing, they tend to shrink over time, especially when bombarded by sunlight constantly. Try to shop around for something non-shrinking. They might be more expensive but the returns (no repeat applications) will be worth it.

From experience, Elastoseal is better than Vulcaseal......Though I still prefer a neutral curing silicone sealant than the 2 aforementioned.
