I would like to refurbish a faux granite table and do it DIY. (note: not sure if its called faux granite. its actually 1 inch thick wood which has some kind of granite pattern stickered on it and has a 2 mm thick plastic ? epoxy? lamination on top) It has some parts of its top coating that has been cracked and peeled off.
I have covered the cracked and peeled off portions with 2 part pioneer epoxy and have used sand paper to make it even with the surface. How can I best conceal it? I initially thought of just painting it over with epoxy and then getting a custom cut glass to put over it (like the usual dining tables) but the shape is not rectangular, but P like.
Can I paint it over with some color and resin? What do you recommend? I am tempted to do a short cut and just cut to shape a linoleum on it.
Thanks in advance.
