Am beginning to love acrylic in most of my projects, whether at home or at place of work. Downside, a little bit pricey. Sample of price/size i got from the field as ff:
Thickness / Width / Length...... Clear or White / Colored
1/6 x 4 x 6.... Php 1,716/Php 2,028
1/8 x 4 x 8.... 3,000/3,300
3/16 x 4 x 8.... 4,400/4,900
2mm x 4 x 6.... 1,794/2,106
Anybody there who can direct me to a better supplier?? Thanks.

Thank you. I will check them out. I will also post there prices if they are better.
Where did those prices come from?
How about Manila Acrylic Center, 241-0669. Can you post their prices if they are lower?
Is a special drill bit needed?

Prices quoted above came from AU Construction. I will make comparisons, will check them later. Am using a uni-bit or step-drill bit.
Check this site to convert regular bits for plastics or acrylics.

I want to engage to acrylic too. Have you been bending acrylic? How do you do it and tool do you use.

heat gun and some sort of a clamping jig. you might want to search for more of this, particularly the proper heating tool, be it DIY or not, if you're looking at bending wider pieces. as this would ensure even heat where you want it to bend as compared to multiple passes of a heat gun.

BTT:
in my area I source out acrylic sheets from my local Aguila Autoglass shop. If i'm lucky they might have a cut sheet close to the dimensions I need already, saves the hassle of having to buy the whole sheet.

im using my magic lamp (denatured alcohol-remember our laboratory subjects) on bending small piece of acrylic.
with wider/long pieces of acrylic, im using my DIY acrylic bender (nichrome wire).

and for cheaper way of smoothing the acrylic edges, im using 3M rubbing compound. a small amount with small piece of cloth will do the trick :)

Do you have pics of your DIY acrylic bender?
