loose tenons, how to make

I try to shy away from making tenons since my table saw is not that accurate for this delicate work and making a jig is out of the question (a jig where you just run pass the tool or workpiece and dont bother of any adjustments after)

so, would a loose tenon made from the router table using round overs work? Lemme rephrase that, would it work Well?

yes, it works well, bee.
just cut the wood to proper thickness and round-over using the correct router bit, then cut to length.

I was thinking of doing loose dowels. but the thickest dowel i found that was quick and easy to get was Hefele's 10mm thick. which is still too thin for the 2"x2" i wanted to use it on.

They'd work very well if you also used a router to make the mortises.

Nowadays, I usually make tenons manually with my pull saw. It is easy because these saws are so sharp and are easy to control. If I'm lazy and there are many I used the miter saw then use the pull saw. While you are getting the hang of doing these manually, cut wide then use a wood rasp to get in a nice tight fit.
