Just want to share how i build our 8 seater dinning table well its holding up very well considering I built it in pure lumber. Start with a leg post and a leg template.

Then route a sliding dovetail for legs to connect, made a jig for accuracy.

Bee I get it from a local wood worker with his home made lathe i don't have a lathe it cost me 2k including the acacia wood.
Back to the build now i'm ready to glue my counter top first cut with a biscuit about 8" apart.

Lots of sanding.

First attempt on finishing it I used an oil base stain and a poly, but I don’t like the effect the wood has spolting and very difficult to even out the color so my forum mate suggested to use lacquer with a alcohol base stain spray finish it works great.

Hi chisel,
Very nice build you got there. Where did you get your wood from? Same with rolly, we're curious about the biscuits too.

its a shame that i wasn't into woodworking yet when my house was being built. hence an over priced 12 seater dining table..
i really like the alignment jig for the baluster. :)
