Boysen Paint and Products seminar(Confirmed na, July 10, 2010)

trying to organize a paint and products seminar with Boysen and they seem to be very willing, in fact we already have a tentative date which is June 19, 9am...
Who wants to join? this will be something I need since my painting skills suck... :mad:
I also will be needing inputs on what you would want to be included in the program, ex: the Knoxout "air cleaning paint" or for the automotive guys some lacquer or polyurethane paints...
so I will start the list...

nice to see you on the list Ramon... and wow Ben, I too would need to set-up a spray booth area too hopefully next year. that is a great idea...

It seems simple to setup a spray booth ( i have a large space for spray painting hehehe, right beside my miter saw station) .. BUT!!! the flammability risk is WAY too high. anyone with a cigarette can blow it up... hmmmm.. Timber smoker ka diba? heheh

I might bring in my bro in law if that is ok? as long as there are free slots so PHM members still get priority

man, I hate this really. Boysen seems not to be interest much with us, they have TEMPORARILY moved the schedule again to JULY 10, yes temporary bec it is still tentative. they are very busy you know...
I try to be in touch and keep touch (by texting from time to time)but hardly(yes HARDLY, one reply out of five? :mad: ) gets a reply until this.
SO until Boysen decides on a date or if they are interested in our small group, I will cancel this... Sorry guys.

Hi. Boysen doesn't produce automotive paints. We are manufacturing architectural paints.

We have a product called "automotive lacquer" but this is used for wood finishes. This kind of paint is commonly known as "Ducco finish" but "ducco" is a brand name of a Dupont product. The correct term should be "automotive lacquer" because it imitates the smoothness of car paints.

For automotive paints, you can consult Anzahl or McGills.

Many thanks to Boysen. Kudos to Arch. Eric and Eng'r Chris for a really informative seminar.

I would highly suggest that those wanting to paint or repaint their houses to check with this team first. They give FREE on site technical painting advises although they can't sell the Boysen products directly. You still have to go to their dealers to buy the paints.
