After perfecting it I decided to go for a palo china lowboy for prototype before I proceed to an expensive wood.

After finding out that curving is not for me and needs more time to practice I decided to inlay it , stain it with dark walnut and 3 coats of polyurethane.

After a year it stay that way with one detail missing, a finial and last week on to the lathe to make one start with a palo china and making it cylindrical.

http://img52.imageshack.us/img52/2240/260620102112.jpg

My first attempt and put too much pressure the wood give up

http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3906/260620102113.jpg

So its on to the lathe again to redo my work, Using a gauge a carefully work my way not to commit the mistake I made previously.

sir violaine, the legs design is called Cabriole Legs. It is basically easier to shape it using using a bandsaw. Here are some links on how to make it.

Nice! Same way I make my QA legs with my de walt bandsaw.I'm sure your ready for the next level: which is the choice of the right wood species like camagong, narra, mahogany, ipil, or the cheapest gmelina (if you get the right age and finishing skill) it will also appear as an expensive piece.
