lets play a bit... (pun intended)

having some minutes of free time, I decided to try the inlay kit. it starts by making a pattern out of scrap plywood, a little scrollsaw work and its ready to use.

I start with the spacer removed and started to cut the inlay.
with double stick tape and everything secured.

making the pattern in several cuts...

then without changing the depth adjustment on the router, I started cutting the recess, of course with the spacer on the inlay kit installed. I then cleaned it with a chisel to give the bit more life.

again with the chisel I cut the edges of the recess to receive the inlay. my mistake was it went in very tight during test fitting that I had to pry it out with a cutter knife and sanded a bit of the very thin veneer off. but all in all it came out fine...

would I recommend it? I give it a 9/10 for performance and ease of use, 9/10 for construction and built and 8/10 for price.

it works with all routers Jay, but some require a porter cable template bushing like the one on my router.
